This summer, the UK is set to host a series of vibrant festivals featuring top Afrobeats artists. Here are some of the most anticipated events:

Davido. PHOTO/AFRO NATION

Afro Nation Portugal 2025

• Dates: July 9–11

• Location: Praia da Rocha, Portimão, Portugal

• Headliners: Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, Mary J. Blige, Ayra Starr, Amaarae, Tiakola

• Highlights: Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Afro Nation Portugal 2025 promises a stellar lineup of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and R&B artists. The festival will feature performances from global icons and rising stars, offering a rich blend of African and international music.  

Burna Boy

Wireless Festival 2025

• Dates: July 11–13

• Location: Finsbury Park, London

• Headliners: Drake (all three days), Burna Boy, Vybz Kartel, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Summer Walker

• Highlights: Marking its 20th anniversary, Wireless Festival will feature Drake headlining each day, with Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel among the notable performers. The festival is set to deliver an unforgettable experience with a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats.  

2 Face Idibia

Afrobeats Legends Concert

• Date: July 26

• Location: OVO Arena Wembley, London

• Lineup: 2Baba (2Face Idibia), Mr. P (P-Square), Simi, 9ice, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Abrantee

• Highlights: This concert brings together legendary Afrobeats artists for a night celebrating the genre’s rich history and influence. Fans can expect iconic performances and collaborations that showcase the evolution of Afrobeats.   

Tarrus Riley.

City Splash Festival 2025

• Date: May 26

• Location: Brockwell Park, London

• Lineup: Popcaan, Spice, General Levy, Tarrus Riley, Ms. Dynamite, The Compozers

• Highlights: Celebrating Caribbean and African music, City Splash offers a fusion of reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats. The festival also features cultural activities, food stalls, and art installations, creating a vibrant and immersive experience.   

AFroFest 2025

• Date: June 14

• Location: Bristol

• Highlights: AFroFest showcases local and international Afrobeats talent, featuring live bands, DJs, dance performances, and cultural exhibitions. It’s a celebration of African culture and music in the heart of Bristol.
