Davido and Chioma Rowland Adeleke celebrated their lavish white wedding in Miami on August 10, marking the culmination of their romantic journey that began in 2013 at Babcock University . The ceremony, held at the prestigious Mana Wynwood venue, was a dazzling affair dubbed “#Chivido2025” and symbolized the fusion of Nigerian grandeur with Miami’s vibrant energy. With an estimated cost of $3.7 million, the event transformed Wynwood into a Nigerian cultural oasis, featuring a Havana Night-themed pre-wedding party, a floral arch altar, and performances that bridged Afrobeats and Latin American traditions . Chioma, radiant in an ornate Alonuko wedding dress, and Davido, sharp in a brown Tom Ford suit, exchanged vows before 1,500 guests, each wearing poignant mementos honoring their late son, Ifeanyi .

The guest list was a testament to the couple’s influence across Africa and beyond, drawing dignitaries from politics, business, and entertainment. Notable figures included Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke (Davido’s uncle); Abia State Governor Alex Otti; and former Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki . The entertainment world was represented by stars like Adekunle Gold, D’Banj, and Ghana’s award-winning dancehall artist Stonebwoy, who attended with his wife, Dr. Louisa . Also present were Edwina Akufo-Addo, daughter of Ghana’s former president, and UFC champion Kamaru Usman, adding international glamour to the festivities .

The celebration seamlessly blended luxury with cultural touches, from Chioma’s outfit changes—including a blue-and-red sequin Jennifer Rowland dress and a custom aquamarine gown by Brides by Nona—to the Hora Loca dance performance that ignited the reception . Davido captured the essence of the night, declaring they had “brought Lagos to Miami,” while Chioma simply called it “vibes” . The wedding, following their court marriage in March 2023 and traditional ceremony in June 2024, underscored not just their personal union but the unifying power of African entertainment and culture on the global stage .
