American R ‘n B star Chris Brown, has pleaded guilty to affray at Southwark Crown Court, following a confrontation at a London nightclub in 2023.

The 37-year-old singer entered his plea during a short hearing that lasted less than five minutes today July 24 in London, resolving the long-running legal matter stemming from the late-night altercation.

Brown appeared alongside co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu, 40, a rapper who performs under the stage name Hoody Baby. Akinlolu also entered a guilty plea to the same charge of affray, confirming his involvement in the incident that led to the pair facing serious allegations in the UK courts.

Originally, both men faced more severe charges, including assault and grievous bodily harm (GBH), which they denied. Additional charges against Brown, including possession of an offensive weapon, have now been formally dropped by prosecutors, leaving only the affray pleas on the court record.

Judge Tony Baumgartner has scheduled the sentencing hearing for 26 October, when both defendants will learn their fate. The case has drawn widespread attention, marking a significant legal development for the award-winning artist on UK soil.
