
The world’s biggest afrobeats celebration arrives in full force tomorrow as Afro Nation Festival opens on the golden sands of Praia da Rocha beach in Portimao, Portugal. Running from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, the sixth edition of the festival is expected to draw about 40,000 revellers from more than 100 countries, turning the Algarve coastline into a global meeting point for music lovers. With its mix of beachside energy, international star power and vibrant atmosphere, Afro Nation once again promises a weekend where rhythm, culture and community take center stage.
This year’s lineup is packed with some of the biggest names in African and global music. Burna Boy, Tyla, Asake, Wizkid, Olamide, Wande Coal and Awilo Longomba are among the headline performers set to thrill the massive crowd, while special guest artistes Gunna and Kehlani add even more excitement to the bill. Fans are expected to be treated to a rich blend of afrobeats, amapiano, hip hop and R&B, reflecting the festival’s reputation for bringing together the sounds currently shaping music scenes around the world.
